Apostle Reginald R. Lee - Senior Pastor

Reginald Ronnell Lee was born on February 20, 1960 in Washington, D.C. He is the son of the Late Reverend George Lee, and the Late Gloria B. Lee of Goldsboro, N.C. He has two sisters, Ms. Deborah Lee, and Mrs. Phyllis Smith. He accepted Christ at the age of 11, and was baptized on the profession of his faith by his father at Hickory Grove Disciple Church, where he served faithfully.

He received his elementary and secondary education in the public school system of Goldsboro, N.C. He furthered his education by attending Wayne Community College, Mt. Olive College, St. Leo College, and Virginia Union Theological Seminary. He has received an Associated Degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor Degree in Business Management.  He completed 1 ½ years towards a Master of Divinity in Theology.

On November 22, 1980, Reginald was united in holy matrimony with his lovely wife, Carmelle. From this union, two children were born, Reginald and Seymonyawn.

After arriving in Newport News in 1981, on military orders, the Lord led the Lee family to join New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Ivan T. Harris, where he was ordained as a Deacon and where he felt God's call for him to enter the Gospel Ministry. Reginald was licensed to preach on June 10, 1984, and ordained on December 7, 1986. On August 17, 1987, Pastor Lee was called to serve as Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Saluda, Virginia, where he served until August 2, 1991.

From 1988 to 2000, Pastor Lee owned and supervised a Building and Lawn Maintenance Business. From the year 2000 to the present, Pastor Lee has taught Business Law, Principles of Business Marketing, Keyboarding and Computer Applications at Gloucester High School and Heritage High School.

On May 16, 1991, Pastor Lee was called to serve as Pastor-Elect of Riverview Baptist Church, Hampton, Virginia. On October 20, 1991, he was installed as Pastor. Since Pastor Lee arrived at Riverview Baptist Church in 1991, God has given the church new converts, trained leaders, fresh ideas, numerous ministries, the taught and preached Word, a new main Sancturary in Newport News, VA, a new Saturday Evening Worship Service in Hampton VA, and the new name of  “River of Life Christian Church.”  As he continues to watch God transition and transform the River of Life church family, Pastor Lee say's without reservation the words of the Apostle Paul,

"I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Romans 1:6 (KJV)
